This weekend we will be celebrating the Feast of Dormition over Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday we will celebrate Great Vespers with Litya, followed by blessing of flowers, and on Sunday, the Divine Liturgy again with blessing of flowers. Services for the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost includes the commemoration of all the Saints showing forth from Britain and Ireland.  This follows the Russian Orthodox Church's formal approval of the recognition of these saints showing forth before the tragic schism occurring between "east" and "west" in 1054, in 2007.  You can find texts here.   We can glimpse here a more comprehensive perspective of the statement in the Creed:  "One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church" that is inclusive of many cultures and nations!
