Our Holy Transfiguration parish was blessed on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 to welcome Mat. Deborah Belonick for a virtual gathering following Vespers. She spoke about the newly republished daily Great Lenten reflections with the title: Pilgrimage to Pascha. You can view the video of this presentation here.
Matushka Deborah spoke of the history of this presentation from its first publication of this work by Light and Life Publisher in 1998, by her husband, Archpriest Steven Belonick, of blessed memory, and two co-authoors. She then moved to the pastoral focus Fr. Steven brought to bear, and finally shared one of the reflections most meaningful to her. A brief question and answer period followed.
Fr. Steven reminded parish faithful that proceeds from the sale of this new republished work will benefit seminarians from the New England Diocese pursuing an active vocation in serving the church!
Thanks be to God for all things!
During Great Lent our community will be gathering to engage in discussion of Pilgrimage to Pascha (See presentation by Mat. Deborah Belonick who edited this re-released collection of daily reflections written by her husband, Archpriest Steven Belonick, of blessed memory, and two co-authors under this same tab.) on Monday eveninngs. These sessions are being recorded so that those unable to be present for a particular session will still be able to benefit from them. Click on the links below to see each session's discussion.
The work by this title was published by His Beatitude, our Most Blessed Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, in 2018. As we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the granting of autocephaly to the Orthodox Church in America, and the canonization of St. Herman of Alaska in 2020, this presentation of slides, shared in three presentations, is being made available here through our parish website, following being presented in Holy Transfiguration parish in November and December 2020. Thanks be to God for all things.
